Cancun Group & Wedding Packages

Room blocks, contracted group rates, free chaperone spots and full wedding-package inclusions — negotiated directly with the resort sales teams.

Cancun group and wedding packages are built for travel parties of 10 or more — destination weddings, bachelor and bachelorette parties, milestone birthdays, family reunions, corporate retreats. Booking through a local expert is non-negotiable for groups because the logistics, room-block pricing, contract terms and group perks are entirely different from a standard booking, and the booking sites cannot handle any of it. Our group advisors negotiate room blocks, free chaperone spots, and wedding-package inclusions directly with the resort. Zero service fees, one dedicated advisor.

What's Included

Cancun group and wedding packages typically bundle a block of rooms at a contracted group rate, all-inclusive resort amenities (meals, drinks, activities, pools) for every guest, a welcome reception, and — for weddings — a ceremony setup (arch, chairs, flowers), an officiant, a wedding coordinator, a romantic dinner, and a champagne toast. Many wedding packages include the marriage license paperwork, a photographer or videographer, hair and makeup for the couple, and a private reception venue. Bachelor and bachelorette packages add party-venue VIP access, open-bar wristbands, and a sunset booze cruise. Flights and airport transfers for the group can be bundled. Your advisor will itemize every inclusion and the per-guest cost.

Why Book with a Local Expert

Groups are where a local advisor is genuinely indispensable. Room-block contracts, attrition clauses, free chaperone spots, group dining reservations, and the logistics of moving 30 people through customs and onto a transfer bus — none of this exists on the booking sites. Our group advisors negotiate room-block pricing and concessions directly with the resort sales teams, charge zero service fees, and have planned hundreds of Cancun destination weddings and group celebrations. We coordinate every guest's flight and transfer, send a single confirmation to the group lead, and are one text away during the entire trip. For weddings, we work hand-in-hand with the resort's wedding coordinator to lock every detail.

Best Resorts for Group & Wedding Packages

Moon Palace Cancun is the destination-wedding flagship — an on-site wedding chapel, multiple ceremony venues (beach, garden, gazebo), an in-house wedding team, and group blocks of 100+ rooms. Beach Palace Cancun is the more compact alternative in the Hotel Zone. Grand Velas Riviera Maya for ultra-luxury weddings with Michelin-recognized catering. Hyatt Ziva Cancun for luxury family weddings. Hard Rock Hotel Cancun for music-forward bachelor and bachelorette parties. Royalton Riviera Cancun for value group blocks. Secrets The Vine Cancun and Excellence Playa Mujeres for adults-only wedding groups. Your advisor will match the resort to your group size, vibe and wedding vision.

When to Book for the Best Price

Groups require more lead time than any other booking category — 6–12 months for destination weddings in peak season (December–April), 4–6 months for shoulder-season weddings (May, November, early December). Room blocks need to be contracted and held; the closer to the date, the higher the rate and the smaller the available block. Last-minute group deals do not exist in any meaningful way. Group flights should be booked the same day you contract the room block, especially for peak weeks. Your advisor will lock both, manage attrition, and free up unneeded rooms at the contractual deadline so you don't pay for empty beds.

How to Get a Quote

Open the Build My Trip wizard, enter your approximate group size and dates, and check the group or wedding box. Your advisor will reply with two or three resort options, a per-guest quote, and — for weddings — a sample wedding-package inclusions sheet. Or call (702) 522-0111 and ask for the group and wedding desk. No service fees, no obligation. For weddings, expect a 30-minute consultation to walk through your vision, ceremony setup, guest count, and budget before the first quote goes out. For bachelor and bachelorette parties, ask about our party-pass bundles and group-rate resort packages.

FAQ

What's included in a Cancun group or wedding package?

A block of rooms at a contracted group rate, all-inclusive amenities for every guest, a welcome reception, and — for weddings — a ceremony setup, officiant, coordinator, romantic dinner and champagne toast. Many wedding packages include marriage license paperwork, photography, hair and makeup. Flights and transfers can be bundled. Your advisor itemizes every inclusion.

How many people count as a group in Cancun?

Most resorts start group pricing at 10 rooms (or 20 guests); wedding packages can be built for as few as 2 guests or as many as 300+. The bigger the group, the deeper the discount and the more concessions (free chaperone rooms, complimentary upgrades, free event space) your advisor can negotiate.

How far in advance should I book a Cancun destination wedding?

6–12 months for peak-season weddings (December–April); 4–6 months for shoulder-season (May, November, early December). Room blocks need to be contracted and held; the closer to the date, the higher the rate and the smaller the available block. Book group flights the same day you contract the room.

Which Cancun resort is best for a destination wedding?

Moon Palace Cancun is the flagship — on-site chapel, multiple ceremony venues, in-house wedding team, large group blocks. Grand Velas Riviera Maya for ultra-luxury. Hyatt Ziva Cancun for luxury family weddings. Secrets The Vine or Excellence Playa Mujeres for adults-only. Your advisor matches the resort to your group size and vision.

Are Cancun destination weddings legal in the US?

Yes — Mexican civil ceremonies are legally recognized in the US and Canada with the right paperwork (translated and apostilled birth certificates, valid passports, blood tests in some states). Many couples do a symbolic ceremony in Cancun and a legal civil ceremony at home, which simplifies paperwork. Your advisor will explain both paths.
